Aromatherapy Body Massage Course

Accreditation and Certificate with The Guild of Beauty and Holistic Therapists. Once graduated you will be fully qualified & Insurable to set up as a professional practicing therapist with The Guild of Beauty and Holistic Therapists.

Course content

Full Body Massage routine covering arms, legs, shoulders, neck face abdomen and back. Massage strokes include effleurage, petrissage/compression, percussion/tapotement, vibrations, friction, kneading and wringing.

Benefits & effects of massage, contra-indications, therapist & client preparation, aftercare advice, posture & stance, relevant anatomy & physiology of the body, health & safety and salon/mobile professionalism.

History of Aromatherapy, preparation for treatment, consultation & contra-indications, safety in aromatherapy, associated hazards, use of 20+ essential oils, use of carrier oils, diagnostic blending, basic principles of organic chemistry and effects on all body’s systems.

The course has been structured to attend 6 weeks for practical training every other Wednesday. All theory and portfolio work to be done at home for – 6 Wednesdays - in between practical sessions.

Indian Head massage treatment routine, covering, the head, face, neck, shoulders, arms and chakras. Benefits & effects of Indian Head Massage, contra-indications and contra–actions, therapist and client preparation, aftercare advice, relevant anatomy & physiology, health & safety, salon/mobile professionalism. The history of Indian Head Massage, Chakra balancing & oils used with massage.

The Course has been structured to attend a 1 day practical training session. All theory and portfolio work to be done at home, 3 case studies are included with portfolio work.
