A Healing Energy Therapy, using energy and heat guided through the therapist’s hands this achieves balance, healing and relaxation through out the recipients body.
Reiki is a pure energy science; it is based on sound subatomic physics – quantum physics. It is widely accepted by many people in medical sciences and health services as a valuable adjunct to all other therapies. This is because Reiki involves the use of natural unpolarised energy; it does not clash with any other healing systems. It can be used on its own or with other therapies.
Reiki passes from giver to receiver, positive energy is passed through the therapists hands which are placed on the body of the client. Reiki works on many different levels it brings all aspects of the receivers being into harmonious balance, according to their individual needs and desires. It is a simple and powerful process, not based on any religious beliefs, that allows the energy to flow through the hands to wherever it is needed.
The “giver” therapist quietly places hands on the “receivers” body, in a gentle but firm manner, in about twenty positions, starting with the head. Feeling of coolness or heat and tingling are often experienced. It requires no more than the recipient wearing comfortable clothes and dedicating that time to and for themselves.

Reiki is an ancient technique; using a form of spiritual healing energy which is guided through the therapist’s hands this achieves balance, healing and relaxation throughout the recipient’s body. It has been traced back about 10,000 years where it was, and still is, used in Tibet and the techniques recorded in ancient Sanskrit writing. It was rediscovered in the last century by Dr Mikao Usui and introduced into the Western World in the mid 1970s. Dr Usui was Japanese and hence the word Reiki which is Japanese and translates as “Universal Life Force Energy”.
